Uttar Pradesh PSC Exam Preparation

In this article, we suggest some useful tips before starting your preparation for UPPSC.

  1. Since these exams are the state exams, one should be well aware of the history and geography of the particular state.
  2. Since PSC is a civil service exam, the candidates should be ready for a high difficulty level and mentally prepared for putting in a reasonable amount of hard work.
  3. Though the exam is a state exam, one must have basic knowledge of the country and the latest happenings in the country. For that, the candidates must start following one national newspaper to keep themselves well acquainted with the happenings worldwide.
  4. The candidates should pay particular attention to enhancing their general knowledge. They should be ready to learn new things every moment.
  5. For the interview, the candidates should be well prepared with the regional language, culture, and customs. This adds to your credit.
  6. Since UPSC conducts the exam, the pattern remains the same, i.e., prelims first, then the mains, and the interview. But the small states go for the primaries directly.
  7. Also, the candidates should pick up the last few years’ question papers and solve them. This will give them an idea of the pattern and make them comfortable with it.
  8. It is a plus point guided by an experienced candidate or a good teacher who can direct your efforts correctly.
  9. Candidates must keep appearing for the mock papers and keep a check on the time because, with proper preparation, it is essential to attempt all questions in time.
  10. The students should appear simultaneously for both the PSC and UPSC exams because the syllabus is almost the same with a slight difference.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) conducts the PSC Exam for recruiting A and B officers within the administrative services of the government.
